So today was my first trail running race. It was called the Steep Ravine Trail Run, and for good reason. The course was 30km long with 3,490 feet of elevation gain all along the California coast. The 30km started at Stinson beach, ran to Muir beach and came back. It was an AMAZING day.
I finished 1st in my age group and 14th overall with a time of 3:24:21 and also won a free pair of Ahnu shoes of my choice. I had no expectations going into this race and crossing that finish line was such a great feeling. I feel like I may have some more of these in my future.
